What happens when you put basketball and science in the same room? Magic — and a whole lot of inspired young scientists.

2K Foundations teamed up with NBA 2K26 cover athlete Angel Reese to bring an unforgettable day of learning to her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.

Together with the Angel Reese Foundation, Project Scientist, and Living Classrooms, we capped off a six-week STEM program with something special: "ME Bound: The Science Behind Rebounds" — an interactive experience built to show young girls that science and sport aren't separate worlds, they're teammates.

For six weeks, girls got hands-on with STEM, building real skills and real confidence while discovering the science-driven careers hiding in plain sight across the sports world. The celebration event brought that learning to life through workshop stations on reaction time and vertical jumps — turning physics lessons into pure, high-energy fun.

Then came the moment that stopped the room cold: Angel Reese and Ronnie 2K showed up. The girls erupted. Reese and Ronnie 2K didn't just make an appearance — they made it personal, telling every girl in the room to believe in herself and bet on her future.
