Our graduate program is a rotation-based journey through our business, based in Dublin, London or Novato, with the possibility of a rotation in one of our international offices. You'll help shape your own experience as we match your learning goals to our business needs.
WHAT IS THE PUBLISHING GRADUATE PROGRAM?
When people hear ‘publishing,’ they usually think ‘books’. At 2K, it means everything that happens outside of game development to bring games to the market and get them in front of players: advertising, budget planning, marketing technology, live services, growth strategy, player insights and analytics, and go-to-market planning. Our rotations in these teams give you hands-on experience across the publishing organisation.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We look for curiosity, motivation and analytical thinking, not a specific degree. Graduates join us from science, economics, engineering, philosophy, social sciences, arts, and everywhere in between. Our recruitment process is task-based, so you get a real chance to show what you can do. Once you're in, our foundation skills training and ongoing development mean you're never figuring it out alone.
DO I HAVE TO BE A GAMER?
Not at all. Some of our graduates have never played a game, while others play every day, and both bring perspectives that we value. Regardless of whether you're an avid gamer or picking up a controller for the first time, you will have a point of view that you bring to any team that you’re on.
HOW DO WE RECRUIT?
We keep our process short and straightforward, because we know applying for jobs is stressful enough. We hire for analytical thinking, tested across three areas: quantitative skills, qualitative skills, and how quickly you pick up something new. Our hiring process is task-based; you'll be assessed on real, relevant skills rather than just your CV with a follow up interview if you pass the task stage. If that sounds like you, we'd love to receive your application!
EXPLORE OUR ROTATIONS
Our program starts with training to set you up with foundational skills; after this you’ll have a maximum of six 3-month rotations around various publishing teams. The following is just a glimpse of what's on offer; there are always more teams across 2K ready to help you build new skills. By the end of the program, you'll walk away with three core skill sets: analytical, technical, and commercial. We don’t expect people to arrive with all three skills, and that's the point. We're looking for people with the potential to grow, and we'll help you get there.

Foundation Training:
You'll start with foundation training in Dublin, designed to set you up for everything that follows. During training you'll build real skills in Excel and SQL, get to know our full portfolio of games, and learn how teams are structured across the business. Along the way, you'll work on projects and tasks that mirror real-life work, so by the end of training you will have built a strong foundation in research, presenting and technical data skills enabling you to contribute to your first team from day one.
