POSTING GUIDELINES
Last updated: February 2023
To help you comply with applicable laws and to protect the reputation of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, “T2”), these Posting Guidelines (“Guidelines”) outline standards of conduct to which you must adhere if you choose to (or are required to) discuss T2, or any of its labels, studios, brands, products or services, in any public forum (including social media, blogs, chat rooms, talk shows, and public appearances). Please read these Guidelines carefully.
These standards apply to anyone, including bloggers, influencers, social media posters, talent, spokespersons, endorsers, affiliates and other individuals who receive any incentives or have any connections to T2. These incentives or connections include payment, receipt of gifts, free products, samples, prizes, event tickets, rewards, marketing opportunities or any other incentive from T2 or from any other people or companies working with or for T2.
When making statements about T2, its brands, or its products or services, or posting on the internet or on any social media site on T2’s behalf or in connection with T2, you must adhere to these Guidelines. If you don’t follow these Guidelines we will not be able to continue working with you in the future. Please make sure that you have read and understood the Guidelines below prior to posting any content about T2, its brands, or its products or services.
We understand that these Guidelines may not cover every unique situation. As such, please reach out to your T2 contact with any questions about these Guidelines.
TELL THE TRUTH
- Your content, statements and posts about T2 products must be true. Only make statements that reflect your honest beliefs, opinions, or experiences with T2 and its products and services.
- Do not make false, deceptive, or misleading claims about T2, T2’s products or services, T2’s competitors, or T2’s competitors’ products or services.
- Only make a factual statement about a product’s characteristic or quality, which you know for certain is true and can be verified.
- Any gameplay or other T2 products shown must represent actual gameplay or products.
- Remember that even if you don't expressly state a fact, it may be implied, and this applies to both express and implied messages. Be especially careful about making any factual statement about T2’s competitors or their products. If your communication includes a factual statement about a product’s characteristic or quality, it may require legal review and approval prior to publication; please check with your T2 contact for full details.
DISCLOSE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH T2
- You must clearly and conspicuously disclose your relationship with T2 whenever you receive any of T2 products, free/discounted/early access to T2 games, gift cards, or any form of payment from T2 (including travel or accommodation).
- You must prominently tag any content you make promoting any T2 products with clear hashtags (e.g., #Ad, #Advertisement, or #Sponsored) or explicit statements (e.g., “Thank you [T2 label/studio] for giving me a copy of your new game!”) in your posts, statements or comments.
- These disclosures must be in the same language as the rest of your post or content.
-
These disclosures must be:
- Prominent (i.e., in a readable sized font on a high-contrast background – verbal disclosures in videos must be loud enough and clear enough to be heard);
- Clear (i.e., written in plain text and not buried in other disclosures or otherwise hidden – for instance, users of Instagram generally only see the first three lines of text on a post, so text disclosures must be made within the part of the post that is immediately visible to the user);
- Timely (i.e., displayed long enough for the average reader to understand); and
- Legally Compliant (i.e. disclosures must comply with local disclosure requirements in the country in which you are habitually resident – for instance, #Publicità/Advertising in Italy, or #Anzeige in Germany).
-
Additional examples of acceptable disclosures include:
- “As a spokesperson for [T2 label/studio], I . . . ”
- On a website: “[Name] is a paid endorser of [T2 label/studio].”
- “I received (incentive) from [T2 label/studio] to talk about . . .”
- “[T2 label/studio] sent me (incentive) and . . .”
- When posting to public forums where there is limited space, include an appropriate hashtag notation, such as “#ad,” “#advertisement,” or “#sponsored” or “#productprovided” or #travelprovided.
-
The below hashtags are not sufficient disclosures:
- #Thanks
- #Sp
- #Spon
- #Collab
- Any other vague standalone terms or abbreviations.
- If you have any questions regarding appropriate disclosures, please get in touch with your T2 contact.
DO NOT USE THIRD PARTY CONTENT
- If you are talking about your experiences with a T2 game or product, you can use the name of the game, the name of game features, etc. to discuss those aspects of the game.
-
“Third-Party Intellectual Property” means another
companies’ logos, slogans, symbols, images, videos, music,
sound effects, or any other content that either (i) belongs to
someone else or (2) identifies a particular company.
- Third-Party Intellectual Property does not refer to T2 marks, content, or logos that you have been permitted to use.
-

belong to T2, including:
- Names, trademarks, logos, slogans, symbols, or other marks that may identify a particular company;

- References or depictions of any person, including their name, voice, images or likeness of a person in any content unless (a) you have explicit permission from such individual, or (b) T2 has otherwise approved the reference/depiction. This is especially important for celebrities and athletes.

- Adhere all other applicable rules, requirements, terms and conditions on any site on which you post content.
- Do not disclose or discuss any confidential information, or any proprietary, non-public information about T2, its customers, employees, business partners or suppliers.

- Additionally, promotional events such as sweepstakes, contests, raffles or hybrids of these events in connection with any T2 games or products are strictly prohibited.
